From reading to doing: one clear step.

Stop skimming. Take one verse, do one thing, today.

TL;DR

  • Pick one verse.
  • Write one action.
  • Do it before bed.

Scripture to stand on

  • James 1:22: Doers, not hearers only.
  • Luke 6:46-49: House on rock = hear and do.

A simple plan

  1. Choose a small passage
Like learning a recipe by cooking one dish—pick today’s verse or 3–5 lines only.
  2. Name one action
Finish this: ‘Because of this verse, I will…’ Think next physical move, not vague intent.
  3. Put it on the calendar
Treat it like a meeting with God: schedule it today. If <10 minutes, use the next free slot.
  4. Do it and report
Action creates understanding. Do it, then note two lines: what happened, how God helped.

Try this now

  • Start the ‘Apply one verse’ challenge.
  • Write a 2‑line reflection after you act.

If this is your week…

One action per day for five days. Weekend review: which actions moved the needle?

When it’s hard

If you can’t do the action, shrink it or change the time. Keep the loop: verse → action → report.

FAQs

Is one action enough?
Yes. It builds the muscle of obedience. Volume comes later.
What if I forget?
Set a reminder with the action text in it. Keep it visible.
